The H49A DXpedition from Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands, has concluded operations. According to the team’s update dated October 20, 2026, more than 61,000 contacts were made over 10.5 days.

DXpedition results

The team operated from a coastal location, where exposure to ocean conditions meant the antennas required regular maintenance. Despite technical difficulties and some operators feeling unwell, the team continued operating across multiple modes.

Low-band operations were particularly successful. The team reported numerous contacts with Europe on 160 metres, as well as good results on 80 and 40 metres.

If your contact is missing from the log

Brief interruptions to the satellite connection caused delays in uploading some QSOs to Club Log.

Operators who received RR73 but cannot find their contact in the log are asked to contact the team after the DXpedition, providing the date and time of the QSO. Team members will check the MSHV text logs.

The H49A team thanked radio amateurs for the contacts, and sponsors and helpers for supporting the DXpedition.
