Operating rules for the WCA programme.
Some deviations are possible, but it is still advisable to follow the rules.
In June the *castles on the air* programme celebrates its 10th birthday. To mark the occasion, we have registered the special callsign ES10WCA, which can be used on the air from 1 June until the end of the month. An activation calendar has been set up on our website for this purpose: https://hf-uhf.eu/ru/sobytiya/monthcalendar/2019/6/-.html, where you can see on which days and from which castles activations will take place. Send applications and questions by email to
You may operate from a specific castle with your own callsign (but in that case do not use the special callsign during that activation, to avoid confusion if several people are operating).
You may operate with your own callsigns on the same day and at the same time from different sites, or from the same site using different modes.

We can send castle numbers on the air in shortened form! For example, instead of ES-00001 you can send ES-01, and instead of ES-00078 --->> ES-78.
A castle may be activated from within 1 km of the site.

Recommended frequencies:
CW : 3.531; 7.031; 10.121; 14.031; 18.081; 21.031; 24.911; 28.031
SSB : 3.731; 7.131; 14.251; 18.131; 21.251; 24.951; 28.551
Operating time from one location: up to 48 hours. Longer is also possible. The main thing is to let us know at least one day before the event, so that we can coordinate the activators and add the relevant entries to the calendar.
Remember that when operating away from home, you add a / (slash) after your personal callsign, followed by the number of the district you are operating from (ES4RLH/3).
When operating from your own town or county, add /P (ES4RLH/P).
At least 50 contacts from each castle count towards the activator's credit. So plan your time on site whether you use your own callsign or the special one. You can also activate several castles in one day.
If you operate with your own callsign, you can upload logs directly through the WCA website: https://www.qth.cz/wcagroup/import/
If you operate with the special callsign, send the logs to the email address above.
